PROJECT OUTLINE

An SEO-friendly bespoke WordPress business to business website, plus a managed transition from the client’s earlier website with no loss of search engine rankings

When aviation technology firm Anari were bought by Accelya, the decision was made to consolidate activity around the single area of yield maximisation. This meant it was time for a new website. Having already worked with us successfully on branding, Anari approached us with the new project.

The first step was to tweak the business branding, so that it complemented that of the new parent company without losing its own identity. We then researched the new SEO requirements – for a product such as this with low search volume but high value sales, it’s vital to target the right people and bring genuine leads to the site.

To give the look, feel and functionality they were after, the Anari team asked us to create a bespoke design with WordPress as the underlying platform. As their previous site had also been in WordPress, they were keen to continue using the familiar user-friendly content management system.

In developing the site, we optimised every element for SEO. This included making even the diagrams search engine friendly. We also added a resources section that gives extra opportunities for SEO and allows the Anari team to upload brochures, case studies, and white papers. A prominent ‘Request a demo’ button in the header complements calls to action on every page.

A critical part of the project was to make sure that no business was lost when the new website replaced the earlier one.  We therefore planned the move carefully, setting up redirects for every page. Thanks to our efforts, Anari maintained their search engine rankings throughout the transition and beyond.
